The antitrust department at Zellermayer Pelossof & Co., led by Adv. Doni Toledano, possesses high proficiency in tailoring transactions to meet the requirements of Israeli antitrust law. We have been successful in obtaining antitrust clearances for major international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, as well as joint ventures and other forms of commercial cooperations requiring regulatory and antitrust approval. We provide our clients with on-going counsel with respect to business conduct that may give rise to antitrust claims, so as to ensure compliance with antitrust laws, to avoid violations thereof and to reduce potential exposure. In addition, we provide advice concerning the regulation of monopolies and firms holding dominant market positions.
Our antitrust practice includes the preparation of applications submitted to the Restrictive Business Practices Authority, representation of clients before the Commissioner of Restrictive Business Practices and the Restrictive Business Practices Tribunal. We also appear in civil antitrust actions initiated by private plaintiffs, including class actions based on antitrust causes of action. We provide counsel to major Israeli firms and to foreign firms having business in Israel or transacting with Israeli corporations.
We recently represented clients in various antitrust matters such as:
- Obtaining antitrust clearances to large-scale merger and acquisition transactions, including the acquisition of Tnuva by Apax Partners.
- Representation of a major Israeli manufacturer in a claim for abuse of monopoly power.
- Representation of all vehicle importers in a consent decree entered by the Restrictive Business Practices Court and related litigation.
- On going antitrust counsel to several of the largest industrial corporations in Israel in respect of monopoly power and antitrust exposure.
