In May 2011, as well as in June 2010, Zellermayer, Pelossof, Rosovsky, Tsafrir, Toledano & Co. was announced by Dun & Bradstreet as a "Leading Pro Bono Law Firm" as part of a first-of-a-kind ranking which highlights the leading law firms in Israel in the field of pro-bono legal services

The firm's prominent position in this ranking reflects our strong long standing commitment to serve the greater community and benefit the underprivileged through pro bono work in an effort to build a healthy and productive society. Our commitment is based largely on the belief that such work is part of the basic role of lawyers as members of the legal profession.

Following are some of the various community service projects in which our legal staff is involved:

The Yitzhak Rabin Center for Israel Studies is dedicated to the commemoration of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and the examination of the lessons for Israeli society to be learned from his assassination. The center fosters a culture of democratic politics based on moral and social norms, promoting tolerance and equality, as well as a message of peace, in order to help create a climate conducive to a new national consensus in Israel.
Avi. D. Pelossof is the chairman of the Friends of the Yitzhak Rabin Center for Israel Studies, a non-profit organization, whose goal was to establish the center, and who is currently concentrating on raising funds in Israel and abroad for the expansion of the center's activities. Tebeka is a grassroots non-profit organization that works to educate the Ethiopian-Israeli community as to their rights and obligations as citizens of the State of Israel and provide them with the tools to realize these rights. Tebeka provides individuals with legal aid in the areas of housing, healthcare and education and initiates impact litigation in cases against discrimination and earmark social change. Tebeka further endeavors to cultivate an educated professional leadership of Ethiopian-Israelis who will lead their community into the Israeli mainstream.

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is Israel's most significant orchestra and one of the world's leading orchestras, comprised of and playing host to some of the world's greatest musicians and most reputable conductors.  Two conductors particularly associated with the orchestra are maestro Zubin Mehta who serves as the orchestra's Music Director, and maestro Leonard Bernstein, who was named the orchestra's Laureate Conductor in 1988.

Tzimaon is a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding disadvantaged population, particularly disadvantaged youth.  As such, Tzimaon manages projects that promote change by empowering education, providing tuition grants and funding various projects for the welfare of the community and reducing poverty.  In addition, Tzimaon manages projects for the financing of sports activities for youth and exposing disadvantaged youth to current cultural activities, such as the theater world.  Tzimaon has been active since 2004 and was founded by Mr. Shlomo Artzi, the famous Israeli artist.  The senior partner of our firm, advocate Avi. D. Pelossof, is among the founders of the organization and a member thereof.  The firm has been providing ongoing pro bono legal services to the organization since its inception.  For additional information concerning the activities of this non-profit organization, please visit:

Yad Sharah, the largest voluntary organization in Israel, provides a spectrum of free or nominal cost services designed to make life easier for sick, disabled and elderly people and their families, such as the lending of medical and rehabilitative equipment on a short-term basis free of charge to anyone who needs it, transportation and day care centers for the disabled, minimum-charge dental clinics for the elderly and personal computerized emergency alarms monitored 24 hours a day.

Friends of Merav Center is a non-profit organization which initiated the establishment of the Merav Center for Breast Health, dedicated for the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer.  The Merav Center operates a public clinic in the Sheba Medical Center with state-of-the-art equipment and the most prominent experts in the field of breast health.  Doni Toledano serves as legal counsel for this non-profit organization on a pro bono basis.

"Halev Bamishpat" is a project supported by the Movement for Fighting Poverty in Israel.  The main objective of the project is to coordinate the provision of legal services to the indigent and disadvantaged, who otherwise would not have access to legal representation.  Through this project, attorneys and law students may assist such individuals throughout the country by rendering legal services on a voluntary basis in various practice areas such as criminal, constitutional, administrative, labor, housing and consumer law.  Attorneys and legal trainees in our firm are actively involved in the project.  For additional information on "Halev Bamishpat", please visit: www.halev.org.il
